A multicultural flavour encircling this area delivers a diverse and alive community

ABOUT VICTORIA HOUSES

Victoria is a vibrant Vancouver community that runs along East 41st Avenue to Stainsbury Avenue, and includes a small area down to East 16th Avenue from Nanaimo Street to Argyle Street.

With a multicultural flavour encircling this area, it delivers a diverse and alive community to call home, and is an excellent location for young families looking to settle down, or established couples wishing to expand, providing schools such as Laura Secord Elementary, Vancouver Technical, as well as private schools such as St. Joseph’s School and more.

The Livability of Victoria

Victoria is an excellent suburban neighbourhood for those looking to live outside the city, but still wanting to be within close proximity to it. With single-family dwellings, multi-unit dwellings and everything in-between, the thriving neighbourhood of Victoria has become a bustling location for young couples looking for starter homes, or established families looking to branch out. And with parks such as John Hendry Park, Brewers Park and Trout Lake, the community of Victoria delivers a lot to do and see without having to wander too far from home.

The History of Victoria

Clark Park is the second oldest park in Vancouver next to Stanley Park, and sits within the Victoria district just off of Commercial Drive. The land itself was donated by E.J. Clark in 1889, and sits on 4 hectares of green space, which now offers a soccer field, basketball court, softball diamond – and much more. This, along with the Canadian Pacific Railway, have much to do with creating he framework for this Victoria neighbourhood of Vancouver, and is as fresh today as its original tree-lined roots of yesteryear.

The Future of Victoria

As the saying goes: “what’s old is new again”, and nothing rings more true than that within this original Vancouver community of Victoria.
