ABOUT HASTINGS HOUSES

The Hastings district in the northeastern part of Vancouver and is one of those neighbourhoods where “what’s old is new again”, as this area is one of the oldest and equally newest communities in Vancouver – with a small section running from Main Street to Clark Drive, and from Hastings Street to the Burrard Inlet. As well, the larger portion of this area extends from Clark Drive to Nanaimo Street, and from Venables to the Burrard Inlet.

Although many various parts of Vancouver were constructed simultaneously when the Pacific Railway came to town, Hastings was a throughway that made it possible for people to actually get in and out of many of these communities, and remains a main road to this day.

Having undergone much development over the years, Hastings has become a popular place in which to buy real estate, offering every convenience one would want living in Vancouver.
