The Livability of Grandview

A beautifully historic neighbourhood of Vancouver, Grandview is grounded is the past, while offering all the modern conveniences of today. Including such eateries as Bon’s – an all-American diner style restaurant, or the more ethnic variety – Havana’s, which is just around the corner on Commercial Drive. In addition to locally owned shops and vintage clothing stores, making Grandview very popular with the millenials.

The History of Grandview

Grandview was clear-cut for the Canadian Pacific Railway when it was constructed in the 1880s, making way for an interurban train into New Westminster This also brought about one of the first communities in the Vancouver region.

With Gold Rush speculations surrounding the Burrard Inlet, Grandview became a popular hub. Even though this hope for gold actually never became a reality, it still spurred much growth in the area, and by 1906, construction within this neighbourhood took on a life of its own keeping in-step with the popularity of Grandview to this day.
