The West End community, within the downtown district of Vancouver, is the oldest and arguably the most diverse location in Western Canada. It hosts both an entrance and exit to the spatial landscape known as Stanley Park, and delivers many gems outside these park walls as well.

Looking for a walk to remember? The Vancouver Seawall offers a boardwalk spanning the entire north side of Stanley Park stretching for nearly 2km. Whether sightseeing, heading to a Stanley Park destination such as the Vancouver Aquarium, or keen on one of the delightful dining options in the park area, the Seawalk (or seawall as it’s often referred to), is a beautiful gem of the West End, and downtown Vancouver as a whole.

Celebrations, Beaches & Parks

Vancouver Pride Week is a gay pride celebration that takes place at the beginning of August each and every year. Already heading into their 40th year as of 2018, taking in the parade delivers a diverse look at a welcoming area to those from every walk of life.

There are also a number of beaches in the West End including English Bay Beach and Sunset Beach.
